I turned 35 earlier this year. It’s wild how quickly the first five years fly by once you hit 30. The last 8 years since I began this truth-seeking journey has been nothing short of transformative. I had a blast celebrating my 35th - starting with a spa day, then a night out dancing until the late AM, which made me feel like I was back in my 20s! 💗

Here’s what I’d tell my 27-year-old self if I could do it all again. And yes, I’m incredibly blessed to have walked this path:
• Jesus is real. Choose Him sooner. (He’s the best thing that will ever happen to you. He’ll make your path straight, with the occasional side quest for personal growth.)
• Honour your parents. Help them as much as you can, and travel with them often.
• Enjoy every version of yourself- change is inevitable.
• Write to God consistently. Ask questions. Meditate.
• For every high, there’s an equal low. There is always light at the end of the tunnel- ride it out.
• Experience more. It adds meaning to life.
• Trust your instincts - always.
• Keep one foot in chaos and one foot in order.
• Buy the one-way ticket. Return when you’re ready.
• Grow into a ‘no fear’ mindset.
• It will make sense after you’ve done it, so just do it.

There’s much more I’d share, but this is a start.

POV: God’s a girl dad who picked your dress for your friend’s engagement. ✨

A few days before my friend’s engagement, I was desperately searching for a pale pink dress. I ordered one online but when it arrived, it looked poor in quality. My sister, whom I believe God used as a conduit, suggested I visit a specific store instead. The next morning, I walked in, and there it was: hanging on the rail, in my size, modest, pretty, and at a quarter of the price. I couldn’t believe it.

Moments like these remind me how much of a ‘girl dad’ Jesus is in my life. Moments later I realised that one day, God will be choosing my wedding dress too. Let this be a word of reassurance that God cares about even the smallest details of your life. He cares for you, and I love how He even dresses me!

On another note, it’s wedding month, and my childhood friend of 30+ years, @dipztailor is getting married! Eek - I’m so excited for all the celebrations ahead 💍

Self-tapes be like…. 💁🏻‍♀️✨ It’s been a busy Jan taping for jobs, and I can feel it - it’s going to be a busy year.

Recently hit my mid-30s last week (eek 😅) and, if I’m honest, it’s a weird one. I thought my life would look a little more “settled” by now - I even had a 5-year plan at 30… but it didn’t go to plan 😄. I’ve learnt that my life doesn’t really have a fixed plan at all - it likes to unfold spontaneously. And so… roll on 35 ✨ #model #auditioning

Back at @qvcuk after a year away. I’ve been modelling live on TV since 2018, demo’ing beauty + jewellery. I still remember my very first casting - I was called in for literally five minutes, and left convinced I hadn’t made the cut! In the end, I did, and it’s been such a joy over the years meeting new models while also seeing familiar faces. With that said, it reminds me of something I learned in ‘22 whilst getting ready to go live…

In a world where most of us are striving to become better versions of ourselves, don’t forget to enjoy who you are today. You are exactly who you are meant to be in this moment. Tomorrow is a different day. Yes, you can change overnight; I’ve done so countless times! it can feel like shredding away parts of you that no longer can exist in this new you, and it can be emotionally painful.
What I’ve learnt in ‘22 is this: you can never truly return to a past version of yourself. I may once have been naive, impulsive amongst other things, but I also had traits that were more playful and carefree. We evolve through experience, and parts of our inner self have to “die” for the better, and with that comes wisdom. Some traits stay, just with healthier boundaries (held loosely for change again). Change - it is inevitable.
So, while striving is part of the journey, enjoy who you are today, and most importantly, enjoy the ride!
