POV: God’s a girl dad who picked your dress for your friend’s engagement. ✨

A few days before my friend’s engagement, I was desperately searching for a pale pink dress. I ordered one online but when it arrived, it looked poor in quality. My sister, whom I believe God used as a conduit, suggested I visit a specific store instead. The next morning, I walked in, and there it was: hanging on the rail, in my size, modest, pretty, and at a quarter of the price. I couldn’t believe it.

Moments like these remind me how much of a ‘girl dad’ Jesus is in my life. Moments later I realised that one day, God will be choosing my wedding dress too. Let this be a word of reassurance that God cares about even the smallest details of your life. He cares for you, and I love how He even dresses me!

On another note, it’s wedding month, and my childhood friend of 30+ years, @dipztailor is getting married! Eek - I’m so excited for all the celebrations ahead 💍

Self-tapes be like…. 💁🏻‍♀️✨ It’s been a busy Jan taping for jobs, and I can feel it - it’s going to be a busy year.

Recently hit my mid-30s last week (eek 😅) and, if I’m honest, it’s a weird one. I thought my life would look a little more “settled” by now - I even had a 5-year plan at 30… but it didn’t go to plan 😄. I’ve learnt that my life doesn’t really have a fixed plan at all - it likes to unfold spontaneously. And so… roll on 35 ✨ #model #auditioning

Back at @qvcuk after a year away. I’ve been modelling live on TV since 2018, demo’ing beauty + jewellery. I still remember my very first casting - I was called in for literally five minutes, and left convinced I hadn’t made the cut! In the end, I did, and it’s been such a joy over the years meeting new models while also seeing familiar faces. With that said, it reminds me of something I learned in ‘22 whilst getting ready to go live…

In a world where most of us are striving to become better versions of ourselves, don’t forget to enjoy who you are today. You are exactly who you are meant to be in this moment. Tomorrow is a different day. Yes, you can change overnight; I’ve done so countless times! it can feel like shredding away parts of you that no longer can exist in this new you, and it can be emotionally painful.
What I’ve learnt in ‘22 is this: you can never truly return to a past version of yourself. I may once have been naive, impulsive amongst other things, but I also had traits that were more playful and carefree. We evolve through experience, and parts of our inner self have to “die” for the better, and with that comes wisdom. Some traits stay, just with healthier boundaries (held loosely for change again). Change - it is inevitable.
So, while striving is part of the journey, enjoy who you are today, and most importantly, enjoy the ride!

My childhood friend just got married - woo! I’m so happy for you both💕Watching you celebrate and seeing you with the biggest smile on your face was everything. Wishing you both the happiest marriage and an exciting new chapter. A few slides in - the wedding sign looked pretty ace, if I do say so myself! I hand-painted it 💁🏻‍♀️. Since we grew up in school and I was gifted in the arts, she asked me to make her wedding sign, and I was thrilled to do so! Can’t wait to celebrate the Indian ceremony next year. Love you. I modelled for @visitqatar last weekend and loved every minute of it.Two locations: @waldorfastoriadohalusail at 5am (private access for filming) & @souqwaqif_qa. Two dress changes, plus a beach day kicking a footie & playing volleyball in the sea with my on screen son & his mum🥰. Dinner with the cast after shooting wrapped it up! Seeing Doha for the first time was gorgeous, but bonding with everyone made it really special💕.Ending the trip with a long bath with a city view was the cherry on top.
