If your curls look flat, sticky, or crunchy after using a gel, don’t panic, that’s actually a good sign ✨

The “crunch” is a cast forming, which means your curls are being held in place while they dry

I used to avoid gel as I hated the way it looked but it’s key for:

• Defining curl pattern
• Reduces frizz + protects from humidity
• Helps curls to last longer

How to fix the crunch:
• Make sure your hair is dry
• Add a tiny bit of oil or serum to your hands
• Gently scrunch to break the cast

You can then separate your curls to double your volume, optional but I love doing this

You’ll be left with soft, bouncy, defined curls

I feel like this range worked so well to give me structure but without weight! I think the foam was the superhero product, my hair usually loves foams for volume. Ive seen my curls tighter before but overall still such a gorgeous result

I’d be interested to try this again with a gel!

Does hairspray work like gel? Had to test this myself ✨

For this wash day I used hairspray on wet hair instead of gel!

It left a very similar cast to what gel does and I used a serum to scrunch out the crunch after

I really liked the results and it held well over the next 2 days! Let me know if you try it! ➰
